First Gasoline Automobile
The first gas powered automobile was invented by a German mechanical engineer scholar named Karl Friedrich Benz between the years of 1885 and 1886. He figured out a way to have a mobile device be powered internally by a inner combustion engine. On January 29, 1886, Karl received his first patent for his invention. The automobile he created was original design consisted of only three wheels but Benz still went on to be the world's largest automobile manufacturer by 1900. Within his invention of the first gas powered engine, he created the electric ignition, differential gears, and water-cooling. Karl Benz opened up the world to the future of automotive masterpieces to come.
Ford Model-T
The Ford Model-T was the first mass produced automobile from 1908 through 1927. It was invented by Henry Ford and his company, "Ford Motor Company". It was primarily popular the year it was introduced in Detroit, Michigan because it was generally cheap because of the Assembly Line . The target audience was middle-classed people, which was the majority of the United States at the time, so many went out to buy it because it made transportation not an everyday hassle.
Daimler Motor Company (DMC)
Created in 1890 by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach, the DMC was the other automobile company behind Karl Benz' elaborate system of work. The two did not even know that the other was operating an automobile industry. The Daimler Motor Company produced their first car 2 years after it was founded but, unfortunately Daimler passed away in 1900. Maybach kept the company name and produced the "Mercedes", named after the engine.
Automotive Merger
In 1924, Benz and Maybach combined their companies and became known as "Daimler-Benz". (This is how the name Mercedes Benz came about) The two worked as partners until Benz passed in 1929.
What Consumers Look for in an Automobile
During the Industrial Revolution, consumers would primarily search for an affordable price and a trustworthy company and producer. but, nowadays, the craze over looking for the right car is so elaborately planned that distinctive features come into play. Which car has the highest miles per gallon rate (mpg), which is the cheapest, which has leather seats. These are some questions consumers in the modern era look for in an automobile and are on their laundry list of necessities.
Modern Era of Automobiles
In today's society, their are so many genres of automobiles such as sedans, coupes, SUV's, Sports, Exotic, and even Hybrid and Electric. But, not all cars are good for the environment. The pollution caused by everyday living on Earth has caused many scientists to consider an alternative way to create energy. A hybrid is an automobile which uses an alternative energy source such as solar, electrical, and even food. Our country has evolved from the beginning and has no horizon to stop at.
